The 60-Speaker Dialogue: An Interactive WebGL Art Experience on Technology and Connection

This project is an interactive 3D art piece that explores themes of modern communication, loneliness, and our relationship with technology. You are placed in a monochrome, fog-filled 3D space populated by 60 speakers, all rendered with a retro "old TV" (CRT) post-processing effect, complete with film grain, scan lines, and bloom. Each speaker holds a single, philosophical line of text—a "thought" on connection in the digital age, such as "They fill silence with machines, then call it peace," or "We’re just mirrors with sound—reflecting what they won’t face." The experience is not passive. You are the one who creates the "dialogue." How to Use
Navigate: Click and drag to orbit the camera around the central space. Use your mouse's scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Discover: Move your mouse cursor to hover over any of the 60 speakers. The active speaker's grille will glow. Connect: Click on a highlighted speaker to begin a connection. A virtual cable will appear, following your cursor. Create the Dialogue: Move to a second speaker and click again to complete the connection. Listen: Once connected, the two speakers will speak their respective lines of text aloud using your browser's Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine. First, the speaker you clicked on initially will talk, followed by the second. Repeat: After the two-line dialogue is complete, the cable will automatically disappear, inviting you to create a new pairing and discover a new combination of thoughts.

Explore "The 60-Speaker Dialogue," an interactive WebGL art installation. Click to connect speakers in a 3D space to hear a unique, philosophical dialogue on technology, isolation, and connection, all rendered in a striking, retro-CRT visual style.
