Step into a mesmerizing, interactive art piece that splits your screen into two contrasting, perpetually moving worlds. Each half is filled with rows of oblique lines scrolling in opposite directions, creating a stunning visual effect. Your cursor is the conductor of this digital orchestra; simply hovering over any line causes it and its neighbors to react, rotating and growing in a beautiful, organic response. This interaction also slows the motion of the entire row and reveals a large, elegant number at the center of the screen, creating a moment of focus in the midst of constant movement. This application is a full-screen, interactive generative art installation. It divides the screen vertically into two mirrored halves—one with a gray background and red lines, the other with a red background and gray lines—that are in a state of constant, flowing motion. The installation is designed to be explored purely through mouse movement, with no clicking required. The core of the application lies in the intricate chain reaction of visual effects that you trigger simply by moving your mouse over the lines. Core Features and Interaction (Hover): When you move your mouse cursor over any single line, a series of coordinated events happen simultaneously: Line Manipulation: The line you are directly hovering over will instantly rotate 90 degrees and double in size, highlighting your point of focus. At the same time, the nearest neighboring lines will be "attracted" to your cursor, rotating to point towards the hovered line and scaling up as well. Time Dilation Effect: The entire row containing the hovered line will slow down its scrolling speed by half, creating a localized "slow-motion" effect that contrasts with the surrounding rows. Depth and Focus: The affected row will also shift slightly downwards, making it stand out from the others and creating a subtle 3D or parallax effect that draws your eye. Reveal a Hidden Number: As these effects occur, a large, thin, randomly selected number (from 0 to 9) will fade into view in the center of the screen half you are interacting with. When you move your mouse away, all effects instantly reverse. The lines return to their original state, the row resumes its normal speed and position, and the central number fades away, restoring the seamless flow of the animation until you choose to interact with it again.
