Welcome to the Honeycomb Sequencer, a playful musical sandbox where you become the conductor of a buzzing orchestra. Spawn musical bees, each carrying a unique note, and watch them fly freely around your screen. Your task is to catch and arrange them on the cells of a vast 3D honeycomb. Each row of the hive is a separate, looping timeline, and placing a bee assigns its note to the sequence. As the music plays, watch your bees pulse in time with the melody you've created. Drag and drop bees to different cells to change the tune in real-time in this delightful and intuitive music toy. The Honeycomb Sequencer is an interactive musical playground that combines a visual 3D sculpture with a powerful step sequencer. Instead of using a traditional interface, you create melodies by arranging a colony of charming, musical bees within a honeycomb hive. The Elements of Your Playground The Musical Bees: Each bee is a living, breathing note. When you spawn one, it is assigned a note from a musical scale and begins to fly around the screen chaotically. They are your sonic building blocks. The Honeycomb Grid: The 3D honeycomb is your canvas. Think of it as a visual timeline. Each horizontal row is an independent sequencer that loops continuously from left to right. Furthermore, each row has a different octave setting, meaning a bee will play a higher or lower version of its note depending on which row it's placed in. How to Compose Your Melody Creating music is an intuitive, physical process of arrangement: Spawn Your Bees: Click the large red plus (+) button to introduce a new musical bee into the environment. You can add as many as you like. Catch and Place: Click and drag any flying bee. As you move it over the honeycomb, drop it onto any empty cell. The bee will immediately snap into place and become part of the musical sequence. Listen and Watch: Once a bee is placed, the sequencer for that row becomes active. As the invisible "playhead" loops across the row, your bee will play its note and pulse visually, bringing your composition to life. Rearrange and Experiment: The real fun is in experimentation. Drag bees from one cell to another to alter the melody and rhythm on the fly. Don't like a note in the sequence? Simply drag the bee off the honeycomb to release it back into free-flight, instantly removing it from the loop. Start Anew: Click the minus (-) button to clear the entire hive of all bees, stop the music, and reset the application for a fresh start.
